Terms and Conditions


The initial hire period is four weeks with a complimentary fifth week allowed for photography, etc.  The hire period will be automatically extended after the expiry date unless written notice is received by Living Edge seven days prior to the end of the initial hire period or any subsequent extended period.


The Hirer will pay the agreed fee on completion of this agreement in order to secure the agreed booking time.


At the completion of the initial hire period the contract will be automatically renewed in periods of one week at the same pro rata weekly rate as the initial hire fee.  During that time, the Hirer authorises Living Edge to deduct weekly payments in advance from the Hirer’s nominated Credit Card account until the Hirer notifies Living Edge of the termination of the hire period.  Seven days’ prior notice of cancellation must be given to Living Edge, and the Hirer will be liable for payment of the hire fee until the notice period expires.  The Hirer further undertakes to ensure that funds will be available in the credit card account for all additional charges until the termination of the hire period.  The Hirer agrees to make payment for any extension period by direct credit bank transfer.

3a.          BOND

A bond of $1,000 is payable by the Hirer which is refundable if all items are returned in the same condition as at the time of hire.  Refunds will be made within 10 working days of removal, less any costs of repair replacement as per para 5.


In the event of a default of payment, Living Edge will take recovery action including but not limited to: removal of furniture, debt collection action, court and legal fees, and charge interest on outstanding debt at the rate of 1% per month.  All costs incurred will payable by the Hirer.


  • The Hirer is responsible to ensure that all items in the Showhome package are kept secure and in good and clean condition.
  • If any items (including outdoor cushions and accessories) that are damaged or missing, the Hirer agrees to pay all costs required to return damaged items to good condition and to reimburse Living Edge at the normal retail price for any missing items.
  • Living Edge will photograph/note any damage on their property prior to removal to support any claim for damage and notify the Hirer as soon as possible.
  • The Hirer may photograph the furniture as soon as it is installed as evidence of any pre-existing damage and notify Living Edge as soon as possible.

The Showhome package shall remain at the same address until notification of termination of the contract and the Hirer shall not remove or permit removal of any items of the Showhome package from the premises as detailed under delivery address.  Furthermore, the Hirer agrees not to move the items in the Showhome package from the positions in which they were placed unless agreed to by Living Edge.


Living Edge will need to be allowed access at reasonable times upon request.


The Hirer agrees to grant creative licence to Living Edge for presentation of the property, and also agrees to pay the appropriate costs for any amendments required after installation.  Living Edge may during the term of contract, change items substituting similar or more compatible items at their sole discretion.


The Hirer agrees to allow Living Edge to display promotional materials in the home and also agrees to the use of professional photography of the property on Living Edge’s social media channels.

  • All goods and furnishings, while at the address, shall be insured by the Hirer
  • The property has an unmonitored alarm system and the Hirer agrees to pay $150.00 plus GST to Living Edge for insurance
  • The property has a monitored alarm system, so there is no charge to the Hirer for insurance

N.B.  Outdoor furniture items will not be included under Living Edge insurance policy but will be covered by the Hirer


Living Edge shall include in the contract price delivery and pick up of the Showhome package. Placement of items in the delivery address shall be at Living Edge’s discretion.


Living Edge staff will take all reasonable care of the premises during the installation and removal of products.  However, where artwork, mirrors, pictures, are requested to be fitted, rectification of any subsequent damage to walls, etc. to which they were affixed, will be at the Hirer’s cost.  The Hirer is liable for any damage incurred if furniture is moved by the client, the agent or a member of the public e.g. indentations, defects, blemishes, scratches or stains on floors left after removal of furniture/furnishings.


Cancellation of this agreement prior to installation of the Showhome package will attract an administration fee equal to 30% of the initial hire fee – i.e. a refund of 70% will be given.  No refund of the initial hire fee will be given should the Hirer request cancellation/removal during the initial hire period.


The Hirer authorises and directs Living Edge to obtain and pass on any information concerning the credit or business standing of the Hirer from any organisation or agency whatever, and directs any such person to supply such information to Living Edge.  Furthermore, authorisation is extended to Credit Agencies to store and have such information available to the Agency and other subscribers using credit reporting services provided by Credit Agencies via their respective databases. The Hirer is entitled to have access to and to request correction of personal information concerning the Hirer obtained by Living Edge.
