This lovely Como Red "Cows and Couches" cushion is hand cut and sewn in New Zealand.The designer, who is based in Dunedin, got inspiration from her own herd of cattle to design these quirky New Zealand cushions. As an immigrant she noticed that many kiwis are rightly proud of their country but always seem to have a craving to go overseas and explore exotic places. This gave her the idea to mix the rural setting, which is the corner stone of New Zealand with the urban need for stylish interiors. The mix up was completed by adding the zebra pattern which stands for 'the exotic' kiwis are always interested in. In a nutshell you're looking at a view of New Zealand, mixing up the urban and the rural aspects. We fill our cushions using a gossamer feather inner. (The Duck feathers are from a sustainable supplier, the Ducks are not farmed for their plummage)Please click the image for a larger view
